The Flint Hills Chapter of National Daughters of the American Revolution is located in Boiling Spring, NC and was organized February 1, 1969 under the leadership of Mrs. Aileen Jones Gamble with special state officers as guests. Mrs. Gamble was the first Regent and the chapter began with 15 members. Eight of the Charter Members are still living and have been very active in the chapter through the years. Flint Hills was the name given to a wide region of what is now Cleveland and Rutherford Counties, where the early settlers entered claims for land and remained to fight for freedom to own and govern their land; thus it seemed fitting to remember them by naming the chapter in their honor and for their foothills' land.
