In the background is the chapter house, built in 1941 by Fort Dobbs Chapter, NSDAR..  It is now being used as a temporary visitor's center.  Between the marker and the chapter house is the site of the fort.
The DAR Insignia is the property of, and is copyrighted by, the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
