| Welcome! Our chapter is located in Monroe, North Carolina. John Foster Chapter is the only DAR chapter in Union County, and the fastest growing county in North Carolina. As the county seat, Monroe has about 28,000 population -- the county over 123,000 in population. |
| Our chapter was named for Captain John Foster, a sturdy pioneer of Union County who was recognized for meritorious service in the Revolutionary War. |
