Education
Members Participate in literacy programs for adults & tutoring for high school students preparing for the GED exam.

Children
DAR supports schools for the underprivileged with annual donations exceeding one million dollars.
Scholarship
$150,000 in scholarships & financial aid is awarded each year to high school & college students.  There are also scholarships awarded by the state societies.
Membership
Any woman 18 years or older - regardless of race, religion or ethnic background - who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution, is eligible for membership.
Preservation
More than 30,000 objects are conserved in the DAR Museum, one of the foremost collections of pre-Industrial American decorative arts.
Landmarks
Members preserve local landmarks & historic structures across the country.
Genealogy
The DAR Library is one of the world's premier genealogical research centers.
History
DAR promotes American history education thru children's essay contests & museum programs.
Patriotism
DAR supports the men & women of the U.S. Military thru projects such as DAR Project Patriot.
Veterans
Members volunteer more than 55,000 hours annually to assist veterans.
Friendship
Share your interests in historic preservation, patriotism, &education with over 170,000 women by joining one of the 3,000 chapters.
