Are you interested in serving your community in meaningful ways? If so, we encourage you to discover how you may be connected to a patriot ancestor who served during the Revolutionary War. This revelation presents you with an opportunity to join over 175,000 women in friendship and service.

Mary Slocumb Chapter

Our chapter is named for a Revolutionary War heroine, Mary Slocumb, and was chartered on May 23, 1904. It is the fourth oldest chapter In North Carolina — a state with over 6,000 DAR members. We are a growing, diverse chapter with ladies ranging in ages from their 20s to their 90s. Monthly meetings embrace speakers who support our mission of patriotism, education, and historic preservation.

We are located in Mooresville, a picturesque, vibrant, and rapidly growing community in the Lake Norman area, north of Charlotte, North Carolina. With 520 miles of shoreline, it is home to a strong business community that includes NASCAR teams, and the headquarters for Lowes Home Improvement.

We invite you to learn more about membership in the DAR and our charitable works. For more information on our chapter and meetings please contact us.
