Welcome!

Welcome to the website of the Rendezvous Mountain Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR). We are a vibrant and growing chapter located in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina.

The primary focus of our chapter activities is the support of the National Society’s mission to promote historic preservation, education, and patriotism. DAR is a non-profit, non-political, volunteer women’s service organization.

The Rendezvous Mountain Chapter, NSDAR, welcomes new members throughout the year. We can provide guidance and assistance with the application process as well as help in your ancestral research.

Any woman, age 18 and over, who can prove she is a direct descendant of a Patriot of the American Revolution is eligible for membership. Our members can help you locate the necessary proof, if you think you are eligible but do not yet have the documentation. You can go to the NSDAR membership webpage for more information.

A Patriot is anyone who supported the cause for American independence through military, civil, or patriotic service. The service must occur during the period between 19 April 1775, and 26 November 1783. For a list of acceptable service see the Accepted Revolutionary War Service webpage for more information.

Please feel free to explore this website. You will find out more about our history, activities, and our Patriots. We would love to have you as a part of our organization. Please contact us (see button in the left menu) if you would like to attend one of our meetings or talk with us about our chapter.
