The chapter participates in many community service projects and activities.
Dedication of Thomas Cassel’s Grave
Members honor Revolutionary War soldiers’ graves with the Sons of the American Revolution.
The chapter adopts a cottage at Crossnore School and supports the students with birthday, Christmas, and graduation gifts and parties.
Chapter members participate in the Vietnam Welcome Home and visit veterans at the North Carolina Veterans Nursing Home.

Ringing the Bells
We celebrate Constitution Week,“Ringing the Bells” and by reading the Constitution.
We honor high school seniors with the DAR Good Citizens award for those seniors who exhibit outstanding dependability, service, leadership and patriotism as selected by their teachers and their peers.
Students in grades 5 through 8 from Stanly County schools participate in the American History essay contest each year. Medals and certificates recognizing class participation are awarded to students.
