The DAR Yates Mill Chapter was started in the summer of 2004 when twelve women wanted to have a chapter that would be able to meet in the evenings and have a fun, relaxed, and an enjoyable time together celebrating what they all had in common - a patriot from the Revolutionary War. Our members include young mothers just having children to retired members with grandchildren. If you are an ancestor of a Revolutionary War patriot we invite you to come visit our group! Email us for further information.

Our chapter name comes from the beautiful historic park of Yates Mill located in Raleigh, NC at the intersection of Lake Wheeler Road and Penny Road. Yates Mill was a water-powered mill that was built in 1756.

The ladies of the Yates Mill NSDAR chapter meet on the second Tuesday of every month, September through May, from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Our programs focus on historical topics, genealogy and volunteer efforts. We welcome visitors and prospective members.
