Activities
Our chapter has many volunteer activities.
Below is a list of a few that are ongoing:
- Observe Constitution Week in September
- Sponsors the DAR Good Citizens Award program and scholarship contest
- Present certificates to outstanding JROTC members at local high schools and colleges
- Support Crossnore School and Children’s Home
- Participate in projects to support active military men and women
- Support veterans at the VA Medical Center in Asheville, North Carolina
- Present the Community Service Award to recognize worthy individuals and organizations for outstanding voluntary service
- Show appreciation to our local first responders
