Micajah Pettaway-Halifax Resolves Chapter Meetings

Our chapter welcomes potential new members and visitors. Please contact us (see button in left menu), for an invitation to visit one of our chapter meetings. We hold seven meetings from September through May. By attending a meeting, you will meet members who have the experience to assist you in obtaining your goal of membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).

Membership in the DAR

Membership is dependent on one’s ability to provide documentation of birth, marriage, and death of Patriots and their descendants. Any woman 18 years or older, regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background, who can prove lineal descent from a Patriot of the American Revolution is eligible for membership.

Members of DAR are a vibrant and active group of women who are passionate about performing service to their community, preserving history, and educating children. In addition, the DAR woman honors and supports those who serve our nation.

Potential members are invited and encouraged to contact us (see button in left menu). You are welcome to visit one of our meetings where we can answer questions about membership, projects, or activities. Our chapter registrar will be happy to assist with the membership process.

You can visit the NSDAR membership page for more information. Learn about DAR and how to easily begin the membership process.
