Today’s DAR video
This video, hosted on YouTube, highlights the vibrant, active organization the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is today.

Welcome!

Hendersonville is known for its beautiful mountain vistas, delicious apples, quaint downtown, fanciful Bearfootin’ bears, and a vibrant National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR) chapter founded in 1916.

We are excited that you are interested in the Joseph McDowell Chapter, NSDAR. We actively seek new members and strive to promote DAR activities in our community. Please contact us using the link provided (see button in left menu) to learn more about our active organization.

We meet on the second Friday of the month September through June for a luncheon meeting which starts at 11:30 a.m. Our focus is to promote the DAR objectives of historic preservation, education, and patriotism through chapter programs and activities.

Membership in the Joseph McDowell Chapter, NSDAR, is very rewarding. Our chapter is made up of women of all ages, backgrounds, and talents who have proven their lineal, bloodline descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence. We invite you to get in touch with us and join us at our next meeting.
