How to join

Any woman, age eighteen or older, who can prove she is a direct descendant of a Patriot of the American Revolution is eligible for membership. You can go to the National Society DAR membership page for more information.

Who is a Patriot

A Patriot is anyone who supported the cause for American independence. This might be a citizen who served in a government position, such as a juror, someone who served in the military, or someone who gave material aid to troops or the government. Many Patriots are already documented, but some are not. Our members may be able to help you locate the necessary documentation.
